Overview
To improve accessibility and quality of care by implementing program to increase in health care providers across the state especially in rural areas of the State, areas considered to have health professional shortage and/or medically underserved areas/ population.
What does this program do?
Ensure adequate health workforce especially in the most high need areas.
Market and Administer Workforce Programs (J-1 Visa, State Loan Repayment Program, National Health Service Corps, Preceptor Tax Credit) to expand access in underserved communities.
Utilize data and local community engagement to understand workforce needs.
